I think our planet and the creatures living on it are a pretty fascinating bunch – each one unique in its way. For me, that’s why curiosity and empathy come first, be it towards humans, all those other critters or the landscapes that make this Earth such a diverse thing to look at.
If my films manage to bring their audience a little closer to the wonders of the world, inspire them to enjoy the moment and small things as much as the big dreams, then I’ve had the success I hope for. Love creates respect. The one who loves doesn’t destroy but creates.
To experience with all your senses what it means to be human is a great adventure. There is so much to discover, so much to admire, so many things that make you think and so much comedy. To make yourself and other people laugh might be one of the most important habits you can develop. It usually saves the day.
I hope that the people who want to work with me do it for the quality of the work and the work climate in equal parts. The result might make the world a little richer, a little happier, more peaceful and balanced. Simply a pleasant place to live.
